i walked into my humanities class today and saw perched on a stool at the front of the classroom, one of the oldest looking human beings i have ever laid eyes on. My professor introduced him a moment later as
"my oldest friend. Both in terms of years of friendship, and simply...his longevity!"
haha
this ancient, wrinkled man then proceeded to stand and softly squeak about Faust by Goethe. I could hardly hear anything of what he said, and most of it seemed to actually be in german...
though I got little out of what he actually said, I still definitely feel smarter. this man was like an ancient well of knowledge. heck for all i know this man wrote faust.
- like yoda. - now there is a seriously brilliant mind. For as he said:
"impossible to see, the future is."
